Teferi’s Protection is a rare instant from Magic: The Gathering‘s Commander 2017 set. It costs {2}{W} and has the following effect:
- Until your next turn, your life total can’t change and you gain protection from everything.
- All permanents you control phase out. (While they’re phased out, they’re treated as though they don’t exist. They phase in before you untap during your untap step.)
- Exile Teferi’s Protection.
This spell provides a comprehensive defense by safeguarding your life total, granting you protection from all sources, and causing all your permanents to phase out until your next turn, effectively rendering you and your assets untouchable for a full turn cycle.
Tip:
Use Teferi’s Protection to shield yourself and your board from imminent threats such as mass removal spells, overwhelming attacks, or devastating combos. Timing is crucial; casting it in response to a board wipe or lethal damage can preserve your position and resources, allowing you to rebound effectively on your next turn. Remember that while your permanents are phased out, you won’t have access to them, so plan your plays accordingly.
