- Return target nonland permanent you don’t control to its owner’s hand.
- Overload
{6}{U}– You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of “target” with “each.”
Cyclonic Rift is a format-defining card in Commander, providing one-sided board wipes that leave your permanents untouched. It can clear opponents’ boards, creating opportunities for massive swings in your favor.
Tip:
Overload Cyclonic Rift at the end of an opponent’s turn to open the battlefield for a winning attack. In control decks, Rift can stall aggressive opponents by bouncing key threats early in the game.
