These are proxy cards, meaning they are not official Pokemon cards. They are custom made by me and are not going to be exact replicas, although I try to get them as close to the real cards as possible.

“Shining Magikarp” refers to a special variant of the Magikarp Pokémon, distinguished by its different coloration from the standard Magikarp. The term “shining” comes from the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), where Shining Pokémon cards feature Pokémon with an alternate color scheme, often referred to as their “shiny” colors from the main series video games. These cards are typically rare and highly sought after by collectors.

In the main series Pokémon games, shiny Pokémon, including Magikarp, have a very low chance of appearing in the wild, in raids, or from hatching eggs. A shiny Magikarp is gold rather than its usual orange color. Catching or owning a shiny Pokémon is considered a noteworthy achievement due to their rarity.

Magikarp itself is a Water-type Pokémon known for its weakness and lack of strong moves, particularly in its early levels. However, it evolves into Gyarados, a powerful Water/Flying-type Pokémon, starting at level 20, which makes catching a Shiny Magikarp particularly exciting for players.
