Necropotence – MTG Proxy Card Secret Lair 30th Anniversary
Necropotence is a rare enchantment from Magic: The Gathering‘s Secret Lair 30th Anniversary set. It costs {B}{B}{B}
and has the following abilities:
- Skip your draw step.
- Whenever you discard a card, exile that card from your graveyard.
- Pay 1 life: Exile the top card of your library face down. Put that card into your hand at the beginning of your next end step.
This powerful enchantment allows you to exchange life points for card advantage, enabling you to draw additional cards at the cost of life, while imposing restrictions on your draw step and discarded cards.
Tip:
Utilize Necropotence in decks that can effectively manage life totals and benefit from increased card draw. Since it skips your draw step, plan to pay life to exile cards during your turn, ensuring you have the necessary resources for upcoming turns. Be cautious of effects that force you to discard, as discarded cards are exiled instead of going to the graveyard. Pair Necropotence with life gain strategies to offset the life loss and maintain a healthy life total while drawing additional cards.
