Kaldra Compleat brings its own attacker. Living weapon creates a Germ token and attaches the Equipment to it, producing a creature with a large power boost, first strike, trample, indestructible, and haste. Unlike Equipment that needs another creature and an equip payment before doing anything, Kaldra can begin applying pressure immediately after it resolves.
Stoneforge Mystic is a natural partner because it can find Kaldra and later put it onto the battlefield through its activated ability. The Equipment's entry still triggers living weapon, so that route supplies the Germ without casting the seven-mana card normally. Equipment tutors such as Cloud, Midgar Mercenary offer access as well, although they do not by themselves solve the casting cost.
The combat package is especially punishing for blockers. First strike can deal damage before an opposing creature hits back, and the granted trigger exiles a creature that receives combat damage from the equipped creature. Trample can still push excess damage toward the defending player. Indestructible protects against destruction and lethal damage, but exile and toughness reduction remain relevant answers. If the Germ disappears, Kaldra stays as Equipment, ready for another carrier. Reattaching it normally costs seven mana, so support that reduces or bypasses equip costs matters in longer games. The card fits best in decks that can find it reliably or deploy it efficiently, then keep a suitable attacker available. Its strength is a complete combat threat in one card, with the Equipment remaining useful after the first body is gone.
