What is a Magic the Gathering Proxy Card?

An MTG proxy card is a stand-in for an official Magic card in a deck. ProxyKing makes high-quality proxy / playtest cards for casual play and testing—our goal is to make every detail crisp and consistent, from print resolution and color to cut and overall feel. We work with professional printing partners and quality materials so the size and handling feel familiar in sleeves.

Diabolic Intent offers Demonic Tutor-like efficiency with a sacrifice attached. For two mana, you sacrifice a creature as an additional cost and then search your library for any card and put it into your hand. In a deck that values every creature, that sacrifice is a meaningful downside. In a deck specifically designed around sacrificing creatures, however, the drawback can become an advantage.

That makes Diabolic Intent especially strong in aristocrats, token, reanimator, and sacrifice-heavy strategies. You can sacrifice a creature that has already served its purpose, trigger death or sacrifice abilities, put something useful into your graveyard, and simultaneously search for exactly the card you need next. Instead of simply paying a cost to tutor, the deck can often profit from both halves of the card. When its sacrifice requirement is easy to satisfy, Diabolic Intent comes remarkably close to Demonic Tutor while also advancing your deck’s broader game plan.
