Resplendent Angel turns a strong life-gain turn into another Angel. At the beginning of each end step, if you gained at least five life that turn, it creates a 4/4 Angel token with flying and vigilance. The trigger can work on opponents' turns as well as your own, rewarding life gain spread across the turn cycle.
Lyra Dawnbringer is a straightforward partner: a five-damage lifelink hit gains enough life to meet the threshold. Other combinations of life-gain events also count together, so the five life does not have to come from one source. Losing life later does not erase life already gained during the turn; the ability tracks the gain, not your net change in life total.
Resplendent Angel can also help itself. Its six-mana activation gives it +2/+2 and lifelink for the turn, making an otherwise unmodified successful five-damage hit sufficient. That is a useful mana sink, though dedicated life-gain support usually reaches the threshold more efficiently. The token's vigilance lets it attack on later turns while remaining available to block. The threshold must already be met as the end step begins for the ability to trigger. Gaining the fifth life afterward is too late for that end step's trigger. Build with reliable ways to gain life during combat or earlier in the turn, and protect the original Angel so the token engine continues. In the right shell, a three-mana creature can steadily turn ordinary life gain into an evasive army.
