Verdant Catacombs gives green-black decks flexible mana while naturally placing a land in the graveyard. It searches for a Swamp or Forest after you pay one life and sacrifice it, making it a useful foundation for strategies that combine multicolor spells with land recursion or landfall.
Overgrown Tomb and Bayou provide green-black access, while Zagoth Triome can cover a Sultai deck’s third color. Only one matching land type is required, so the available targets can reach beyond the land’s usual color pair when your deck includes suitable typed lands. A Triome still enters tapped, and an untapped shock land asks for its additional two-life payment.
Life from the Loam can return the sacrificed Catacombs to your hand alongside other lands, giving you more material for later land drops. Ramunap Excavator instead lets you play it directly from the graveyard. Neither card grants unlimited land plays, so additional-land effects such as Exploration are useful when you want to turn that recurring supply into faster development.
Tireless Provisioner rewards both the fetch entering and the searched-for land entering, creating two separate opportunities for Food or Treasure. That is a resource interaction rather than automatic ramp from Catacombs itself, which replaces one land with another. Keep enough basics and typed nonbasics to support repeated searches, and choose targets around the colors and timing your next plays require. The strongest decks use the fixing and the graveyard or landfall benefits together.
