: Copy target triggered ability you control. You may choose new targets for the copy. (A triggered ability uses the words "when," "whenever," or "at.")Strionic Resonator copies a triggered ability you control for two mana and a tap. The original ability must still be on the stack when you target it. This gives decks another use for strong entry, attack, or other triggers without needing to cast the permanent that produced the ability a second time.
Avenger of Zendikar’s Plant-making trigger or a useful Eternal Witness recovery trigger can provide substantial value from a copy. You may choose new targets for the copied ability when applicable. Resonator does not copy activated abilities or replacement effects such as Doubling Season. Identifying a trigger by its when, whenever, or at wording helps distinguish the abilities the artifact can actually duplicate.
Artifact packages work well when their pieces have useful roles outside the largest combo. Sensei’s Divining Top supplies selection, mana rocks support development, and a specialized payoff can finish a turn once the other resources are available. Consider which piece the current hand is missing before investing in a search or recovery sequence, especially when the artifact still needs to be cast afterward.
Activate while the worthwhile trigger is still on the stack. Waiting until it has resolved loses the opportunity, even if the originating permanent remains in play. The copy resolves separately from the original, allowing different legal targets where applicable. Keep two mana available if duplicating that trigger is central to the turn.
