Snapcaster Mage lets a blue deck treat an instant or sorcery already used as another available spell for the turn. Flash places the creature into the window you need, then its entry trigger grants a targeted graveyard card flashback with a cost equal to that card's mana cost. The result is a flexible second use of interaction, card selection, or a powerful utility spell.
Counterspell can answer another threat, Swords to Plowshares can remove another creature in a white-blue deck, and a cheap cantrip can improve a quiet end step. Budget for both Snapcaster and the flashback cost. Two mana for the creature does not make the retrieved effect free, and the granted permission expires at the end of the turn.
The target keeps its normal timing restrictions. A sorcery cannot be cast during an opponent's turn merely because Snapcaster has flash. Casting through flashback also sends the spell to exile when it leaves the stack rather than returning it to the graveyard for another ordinary reuse. Graveyard hate can remove the target before you get the second cast, so watch the available response windows. Snapcaster is strongest when your deck already has a broad package of efficient instants and sorceries: the creature becomes whichever answer is most useful now, while leaving a small body that can block, attack, or support a later blink effect.
