Card rulings 2
  1. Roaming Throne's last ability doesn't copy the triggered ability; it just causes the ability to trigger an additional time. Any choices made as you put the ability onto the stack, such as modes and targets, are made separately for each instance of the ability. Any choices made on resolution, such as whether to put counters on a permanent, are also made individually.
  2. If you control two Roaming Thrones with the same chosen creature type, triggered abilities of other creatures you control of the chosen type trigger three times. Three such Roaming Thrones result in four triggered abilities, and so on.

Updated

Roaming Throne rewards Commander decks that concentrate useful triggered abilities in one creature type. As it enters, you choose a type, and triggered abilities of other creatures you control of that type trigger an additional time. Its colorless casting cost lets it support many different creature themes.

Dragon decks provide clear examples. With Dragon chosen, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm triggers twice when another nontoken Dragon enters, producing two token copies instead of one. Lathliss, Dragon Queen similarly produces two 5/5 Dragon tokens from a qualifying entry. Roaming Throne also becomes a Dragon, so its own entry can trigger those creatures and let its additional-trigger effect apply.

The wording is broader than entry abilities: appropriate attack, death, and other triggered abilities can benefit too. What matters is that the source is another creature you control with the chosen type. The Throne does not double an activated ability or a static effect, and it does not increase the number of tokens from every token-producing card in your deck.

Its 4/4 body and ward two help it contribute beyond the extra triggers, but four mana is a meaningful investment if your other creatures have few relevant abilities. Two Thrones choosing the same type make a qualifying ability trigger three times in total, not four. Choose it for decks where the added triggers produce cards, creatures, or substantial board impact. A creature-type deck built mainly around combat statistics may get less from it than one built around repeated triggered value.
