Misty Rainforest is a flexible land for green-blue decks that care about fixing colors and triggering landfall. It searches for a Forest or Island after you pay one life and sacrifice it, with targets ranging from basic lands to typed dual lands and Triomes.
Breeding Pool and Tropical Island provide green-blue access, while Ketria Triome can support a Temur mana base. The searched-for land follows its own entry conditions, so a Triome enters tapped and a shock land asks for its usual life payment if you want it untapped. Select the target that supports your next spells rather than automatically choosing the most colorful option.
Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait and Tatyova, Benthic Druid highlight Misty’s value beyond fixing. Playing Misty and then putting its searched-for land onto the battlefield creates two separate land entries, giving those commanders two opportunities to draw. Lotus Cobra similarly produces mana from each entry. Aesi’s additional land play can make recurring fetch lands particularly productive over several turns.
Ramunap Excavator lets you play Misty again from the graveyard, but does not grant extra land plays by itself. Keep enough legal search targets in the deck to support repeated use, and remember that sacrificing a fetch does not count as ramp. The land is strongest when your mana base needs its flexibility and your creatures or enchantments can turn the additional landfall events into cards, mana, or other lasting resources.
