Mechanized Production turns an artifact into a recurring source of copies and offers an alternate win condition. At the beginning of your upkeep, it creates a token copy of the enchanted artifact, then checks whether you control eight or more artifacts sharing a name. The copied artifact can support an ordinary value plan while your deck builds toward the larger artifact count.
Treasure, Clue, and Food tokens are useful because multiple copies normally share the same name. A token-making engine such as Smothering Tithe in a white-blue deck can help reach the threshold faster than the Aura's single copy per upkeep. The eight matching artifacts do not have to share the enchanted artifact's name, which gives you flexibility in choosing a durable or useful enchantment target.
Enchanting a mana rock can provide growing resources even when the win condition is distant. Copying an artifact with an entry ability may create additional value as each token arrives. Legendary artifacts are less convenient because the legend rule normally prevents keeping multiple same-named copies, so select the target with both its immediate value and its copy behavior in mind.
The win check occurs during the upkeep ability's resolution, not as soon as you reach eight matching artifacts. Opponents can respond before that resolution, and losing the enchanted artifact can remove the Aura. Protect the setup when approaching the threshold, while ensuring the artifact copies provide worthwhile resources if the game continues.
