Grave Titan puts ten power across three creatures onto the battlefield from a single six-mana spell. The Titan itself is a 6/6 with deathtouch, and its entry trigger creates two 2/2 Zombies. Every later attack creates two more, letting black decks expand their board while pressuring an opponent with a creature that is difficult to block profitably.
Reanimation keeps the entry payoff intact. Reanimate or Animate Dead can bring it back and still create the Zombies, making it a useful threat when your deck wants immediate material rather than a creature that needs to survive until combat. The tokens can block, feed Ashnod's Altar, or support Blood Artist and other sacrifice payoffs.
The Titan is a Giant, not a Zombie, despite producing Zombie tokens. That distinction matters for creature-type bonuses and tutors. Its attack ability does not require combat damage, so you receive the tokens even if the Titan is blocked afterward. The new Zombies are not attacking merely because the Titan attacked, and they normally cannot attack that turn without haste. Think of the card as a board-building engine with a substantial body attached. It is particularly useful after a reset, when one card needs to supply both a threat and enough supporting creatures to defend, sacrifice, or prepare a wider attack on the following turn.
