Exploration lets you play an additional land on each of your turns. The effect is simple, but it can create a large advantage when your deck consistently has extra lands in hand or ways to replay lands from the graveyard.

Exploration is strongest early, where it can accelerate your mana before opponents have fully developed. Later in the game, it still helps landfall decks trigger more often and lets land-recursion engines turn the graveyard into a second hand, because apparently one hand was not enough.
