Minamo, School at Water’s Edge supplies blue mana while offering a way to untap a legendary permanent. Its untap ability costs one blue and taps Minamo, making it useful when a particular legend’s tap ability is worth using again. The target need not be a creature, so the available interactions extend beyond commanders.
The One Ring can be untapped for another draw activation, adding another burden counter and increasing later upkeep life loss. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds can provide another mana activation if the deck has enough power and the colors to support the sequence. Untapping does not remove summoning sickness, and the payment means each extra activation should produce enough value to justify the mana spent.
Plan the turn around both the amount of mana available and the colors each spell requires. A hand containing Sol Ring can have plenty of total mana while still struggling with colored symbols. Keep reliable lands alongside specialized sources, and sequence the source that establishes a missing color before committing resources to a payoff that depends on it.
The untap ability can target a legendary land or artifact as well as a creature. Its usefulness therefore depends on the legends in the list, not merely on having a commander. A normal blue mana source remains available when the special activation has no profitable target, keeping the utility slot functional early.
