Bloodthirster can turn one successful attack into a tour around the table. When it deals combat damage to a player, it untaps and creates another combat phase after the current phase. It cannot attack a player it has already attacked that turn, so the sequence naturally points toward different opponents.
Flying and trample help the Demon connect through blockers. Haste support can make the first attack happen on the casting turn, reducing the chance that opponents remove it before any extra combat occurs. Damage to a planeswalker does not trigger the extra combat, so reaching a player is the important goal.
Only Bloodthirster untaps through its own trigger. Other creatures that attacked may remain tapped for the next combat unless they have vigilance or another untap effect. Additional combats also do not automatically include extra main phases, so plan activated abilities and mana use around the actual sequence rather than assuming you can cast more creatures between attacks.
The restriction checks players it has attacked, even if damage did not get through. An unsuccessful attack can therefore use up a player as a later destination. Red combat decks can support the Demon with evasion, damage increases, and companions that remain useful across several combats. Count the available opponents and realistic attack routes before expecting a long chain. One extra combat can already be worthwhile, while several successful connections can make the six-mana threat decisive.
