Badgermole Cub is adorable in the same way a baby earthquake is adorable. This Magic: The Gathering Avatar: The Last Airbender card is a green mythic creature that enters with earthbend 1, turning one of your lands into a hasty creature with a +1/+1 counter. That is already useful, but the real problem starts when Badgermole Cub sticks around and makes every creature you tap for mana produce an extra green. Suddenly your innocent mana dork is doing overtime, and no one at the table appreciates labor productivity anymore.
For casual MTG proxy decks, Badgermole Cub fits cleanly into green ramp, Commander mana engines, creature-land strategies, and Avatar-themed builds that want early acceleration without pretending subtlety is part of the plan. It works especially well with mana creatures, earthbend payoffs, and decks that can protect a small but very annoying 2/2 before it snowballs into absurd mana.
