Twinflame Tyrant doubles damage your sources would deal to opponents or permanents they control. A red deck can use that effect to make combat, burn spells, and creature-entry damage much more threatening. The Dragon also brings a flying body, so it contributes to the attack while improving the damage produced by the rest of your battlefield.
Purphoros, God of the Forge is a direct partner: each two-damage trigger becomes four damage to each opponent while Tyrant is present. Token-producing spells therefore become much more dangerous without needing those tokens to attack. In a Dragon deck, Terror of the Peaks turns large creatures entering into larger damage events, giving the Tyrant value before another combat phase is necessary.
Fiery Emancipation can stack with Tyrant to multiply damage further, although combining expensive permanents requires substantial mana and leaves the plan exposed to removal. Even without another multiplier, an ordinary burn spell can now remove a larger creature or finish an opponent from farther away. The effect applies only to damage from sources you control, and only when that damage goes to opponents or their permanents.
Life loss that is not damage, such as a Blood Artist trigger, is not doubled by Tyrant. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing supporting cards. The best decks provide several independent damage sources, so removing one attacker does not eliminate the payoff from the Dragon's ability and you can exploit it immediately after it resolves.
