Elspeth, Sun's Champion supplies both a steady token army and a way to remove large creatures. Her plus-one ability creates three Soldiers, making her capable of defending herself immediately while building a wider battlefield. Her minus-three ability destroys creatures with power four or greater, which often lets small-token strategies reset the largest threats without losing their own core board.
Anointed Procession and Mondrak, Glory Dominus increase the number of Soldiers created by each activation. Skullclamp can turn unboosted 1/1 tokens into cards, while Cathars' Crusade can grow a token army quickly. Those anthems and counter effects also change the sweep calculation: if your creatures reach four power, Elspeth's removal mode can destroy them too.
White control decks can use her as a threat that survives ordinary creature sweepers. After a Wrath of God, another activation rebuilds a board without spending a new creature card. Token decks instead appreciate the repeated bodies for combat, convoke, or sacrifice support in additional colors. The same planeswalker can therefore serve different roles depending on the surrounding cards.
Choose activations around the immediate board rather than rushing toward the emblem. Three blockers may be more important than saving loyalty for a future finish, and removing a large attacker can preserve both your life total and Elspeth. Once the battlefield is stable, the accumulated Soldiers create pressure that forces opponents to answer more than one permanent.
