Rankle, Master of Pranks lets a successful attack reshape hands and boards rather than simply lower a life total. Flying and haste help the Faerie connect immediately, then you choose any number of three modes: everyone discards, everyone loses one life and draws, or everyone sacrifices a creature. Choosing none is allowed when all of the exchanges would help opponents more than you.
The symmetrical effects reward preparation. A recursive creature such as Bloodghast makes the sacrifice mode less costly for you, while Waste Not can profit from opponents' discarded cards. A deck that empties its own hand quickly may welcome the draw mode, but it also gives every opponent another card, so the effect is not automatically favorable just because Rankle connected.
Multiple selected modes resolve in their printed order. That can matter when deciding what to discard and which creature remains available for sacrifice after the draw. Opponents choose their own discarded cards and sacrificed creatures, giving them control over what resources they retain. Rankle is most useful when your battlefield and graveyard can exploit those exchanges repeatedly. Pick the modes for the current position: sometimes stripping hands is the pressure you need; sometimes removing the only opposing blocker or engine creature is worth sacrificing your own expendable body. Its flexibility is the payoff, so avoid treating all three modes as the default reward for every attack.
